…
Leo chuckled, and smiled as they arrived outside the sewer den. “You’re fine, Ari. Yes, two more brothers, Mikey and Donnie. Donnie’s got the purple bandana. And Sensei, he’s the rat.”“Then there’s Altermikey,” Raph said as he pulled the lever, which was disguised as the middle of three short pipes. The wall opened up, revealing the interior of the sewer den. Most of the city workers didn’t think there was anything behind that wall, and the few that suspected something figured it was an empty space. They were pretty secluded down here. Raph and Leo ushered Ari into their home, and once all three were inside, Raph closed the wall up again. He pointed to a room directly to his right. “My room, next to it is Mikey’s. I think he’s asleep or something. To the left, Donnie’s room, I think he’s asleep too.”
“I am not!” a voice called from downstairs.
“Okay, sorry,” Raph said. “Donnie’s downstairs.
“Last room’s mine,” Leo said. “But I bet you’re more interested in the kitchen. Said you were hungry earlier, well, thanks to April and Casey, we have plenty of food.” He led her down to the kitchen area.
Her eyes widened at the sight of the lair. Sure, she had been on the sewers and done herself a hideout but never something like this. “…Awesome!” she managed to say. She giggled when she heard the other turtle from below. She was reminded of her own brother. She memorized the turtle’s rooms just in case, but anyway, she was going to forget them, her memory was never good.
Her stomach grumbled. “Please, I am starving, I barely get any good food.” She followed Leonardo and smiled at the sight of the kitchen. “So… erm, this April and Casey, are human friends I take it?”
“We have plenty. April and Casey keep us pretty stocked up in return for a few favors here and there,” Leo said, opening the fridge.
“Yeah,” Raph said. “The first and second human we ever made friends with. I’d hate to find out where we’d be if we hadn’t met the two of them four years ago. They give us pizza, macaroni, pop, milk, cereal, DVD’s, games, books… pretty much anything and everything they think we could use down here.” He gestured towards the fridge. “Take anything you want, just don’t let Leo prepare it.”
“I’m not that bad at cooking, Raph.”
“Yes you are, Leo. Almost as bad as Donnie,” Raph said.
Donnie joined the three of them in the kitchen, and said, “You really think I’m that bad at it?”
“You burnt tacos, Donnie. I didn’t know that was even possible,” Raph retorted. “But really, Ari, anything you want.”
“Burnt tacos? Just how you burn tacos?” She asked curious raising an eyebrow at them, but she did not actually noticed Donnatello approaching. She still looked around to see what she could make up remembering up her mother’s and grandmother’s crazy recipes (based on true mexican food). “Hmm, I could make some tacos, or rather quesadillas, I freaking love cheese!” She said all this murmuring to herself. “The pizza looks to freaking inviting!”
She turned around at them to ask for advice, she felt guilt when she saw the other third turtle. “Umm, sorry… I didn’t see you there! I am Ariala, nice too meet you…” she winced, “Donnie, I believe?”
“Eat whatever you want,” Leo said. “We have plenty.”
“You shouldn’t let Donnie cook, either,” Raph said.
“Ignore him,” Donnie said. “Yes, I’m Donatello. But Donnie works just fine. As for the tacos thing, well… it was a bad day.”
“The bad day followed that Donnie,” Raph said. “I still say that time traveling thing was just a drug trip induced by Donnie’s cooking.”
“Hey, I didn’t add in anything harmful. I just overcooked it,” Donnie added. “Not my fault the couch is so comfy.”
She giggled hearing the brothers argue. “I’ll guess I’ll just heat up the pizza then!” she said happily. She took whatever was left of it and placed it on a plate, and push it inside the microwave, letting it do the job for her.
She turned to them. “So… I am guessing you are named after the Renaissance artists?” she frowned, “and how come your sensei is a rat? I mean, I hope I am not intruding, er…” Stop screwing things up!
He paints with blood.
